A: What is worldrentalshop.com?
worldrentalshop.com is a website where you can advertise your holiday property for let at a small monthly price to an audience of thousands of holiday makers world wide. In addition you can manage all the aspects of your bookings from anywhere in the world. worldrentalshop.com is owned by Aquavista Property Rentals Ltd, part of the Aquavista Property Group who have been marketing international property for sale and let since 1999
B: What will my advert contain?
Each property advert is a full page advert with several sections dedicated to different aspects of your property. As well as the detailed description, you can have up to 15 images of your property, 6 images of the location and 4 images of the floor plans. There are number of additional items such as the location of your property displayed on a map, availability calendar and a low-call 0845 number.
C: What do I get in addition to my advert?
worldrentalshop.com offers a unique Booking Secretary. This feature is optional to use but ensures you provide a professional booking service to your clients and enables you to view all aspects of your bookings anywhere on the world. In addition we offer an availability calendar that can also be included on your own website, SMS text alerts for enquiries, inclusion in special feature searches such as ski properties or beach properties, your own dedicated website in your chosen style with a easy to remember domain, feature your property in the special offer sections and a low call 0845 number.
D: How much do you charge?
The price per month excluding VAT is L5.21 (L5.99 inc VAT). This is less than L0.17p a day!. This includes everything except for special offer inclusion and the option to have your own dedicated website with easy to remember domain.
E: How do I register with the site?
Just click on the tab “Advertise” at the top of the page and select the button “register” to simply register on worldrentalshop.com
F: Help! I am having trouble or do not understand! What do I do?
If you have any problems or questions feel free to contact us at anytime. Please visit our contact page for full contact information. Note that although we can add photographs on your behalf, we are unable to maintain your advert for you. The website is designed for the sole purpose of the property owner to maintain their own advert; however we are very happy to provide assistance in using our website.

2. Adding a property

 

A: How do I add a new property?
Advertising on worldrentalshop.com is a very simple process with our step by step wizard. We have minimised the essential information to ensure that you can quickly get your advert on the site with the minimum of fuss and activate it immediately to start receiving enquiries. We recommend, to save time and to check spelling, that before adding your property you write the property description using a word processing program such as MS Word
B: Which steps are optional?
Of the 5 easy steps, steps 1 and 2 require all information to be included about your property. Step 3 is for optional information and can be skipped, however we recommend you complete as much of this step as possible to ensure maximise exposure of your advert and to provide potential clients with as much information as possible. Step 4 is the adding of photographs and step 5 is to set up your availability and pricing.

3. Adding a photograph

 

A: What format should my photograph be in?
All photographs need to be in JPEG format (the file ends in .jpg). Unfortunately we are unable to accept any other format, although virtually all digital cameras save their images in this format. If you are having any problem with loading your photographs to the site then we are happy to do it for you. Please e-mail the photographs to images@worldrentalshop.com. Please remember to include your property reference number and the order in which the pictures should be displayed.
B: What if I do not have access to digital photographs ?
If you do not have access to digital photographs then please send you prints to Miss R Joy, Aquavista Property Rentals Ltd, Longleys, Rye Road, Sandhurst, Kent, TN18 5PG United Kingdom. Please state which order the photographs should appear. If you wish to have the photographs returned please include a self addressed and stamped envelope. Please note that images can appear of a lesser quality if they are scanned compared to digital images.
C: What problems can occur when adding a photograph ?
There are two common problems with adding a photograph to worldrentalshop.com. Firstly the format is incorrect, all images must be in a JPEG format (see above (a)), and secondly the images are very large and your internet access times out before fully uploading them. We have designed the site to minimise this second problem, but it may still occur if you access the internet using a dial-up modem. If you experience any problems please do not hesitate to contact us.
D: What tips do you have on photographs ?
The first photograph is also the image that is used in the search results page, so it is essential this is the best image. Most commonly an external shot of the property is used, although alternatives can be used (for example if you have a stunning view). The images make the first impression of the property so try and use the best images you have and a combination of internal and external shots. Try and add images which are as large as possible as small images will be increased in size on the site and will appear grainy.

 

4. Editing an advert

 

A: How do I edit my advert?
You can edit your advert at any point 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just log onto your account and select the edit button/link next to your property. We have a unique property edit feature known as “what you see is what you get”. Your property will be displayed as it appears on the website to holiday makers, but with the addition of edit buttons next to each item. To edit an item select the edit button, make the desired change and save the edit
B: How can I re-organise my photographs?
You can re-organise the order of your images or add/remove images at any point using our unique, simple to use image manager. To re-organise images just drag the image you want into its new position. To remove an image select the “delete” button next to the image. To add an image select the “Add Image” button and browse to the image you require and save.

5. Paying for my advert

 

A: How much does it cost to advertise a property?

B: How do I pay for my advert?
We have three methods of payment and you can choose which to use in the activation process. If you have a UK bank account you can pay monthly by standing order (L5.99 a month). You can also pay immediately online by credit card for a full year advertising using our secure payment system. If you wish you can pay by cheque for a full years advertising. Cheques are made payable to “Aquavista Property Rentals Ltd”.
C: Are credit card payments secured and do you store my card details?
All payments are made through the company PayPal. The transaction it carried out directly with them and it is not necessary to have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts all major credit and debit cards. We do not store any credit card information on our website
D: Do I need to pay VAT?
We are a VAT registered company so by law we charge VAT for are services. If you domicile in UK as well as other EU countries you have to VAT. However if your property is owned within a business outside of the UK or you live outside the EU you do not have to pay VAT..
E: What is the minimum length of time I need to advertise for?
The minimum period for advertising is 12 months
F: How can I cancel my standing order?
You can cancel your standing order at any time after 12 months. Please write to cancel@worldrentalshop.com stating your reference number and we will arrange for the advertising and payment to cease.

 

6. Availability Calendar

 

A: Do I need an availability calendar?
Every property added has an availability calendar automatically included. It is optional to keep this updated with availability, although highly advisable to save time with inappropriate enquiries.

It is optional to keep the calendar updated with availability, although highly advisable to save time with inappropriate enquiries.
C: How do I edit the availability of my property?
Simply log into your account and select “Calendar and Prices” button next to your property. Select the start and end date you wish to change and select what you wish to change it to. Please note that any booking added using the Booking Secretary will automatically adjust you calendar to show the property as booked.

7. Bookings Secretary

 

A: What is the Booking Secretary?
The Booking Secretary is a unique feature of worldrentalshop.com. It is optional to use but we think you will find it extremely useful, easy to use and guarantee you provide an excellent service to your clients. The Booking Secretary provides everything that is required to conduct a booking including tracking payments, sending invoices, creating and sending your standard terms and conditions and sending directions and key holding instructions.
B: Is it a requirement to use the Booking Secretary?
The Booking Secretary is optional to use but we think you will find it extremely useful, easy to use and guarantee you provide an excellent service to your clients.
C: What is the benefit of using the Booking Secretary?
Return bookings and word-of-mouth advertising are by far the best the form of advertising. By providing your client with an excellent service throughout the entire booking process, it will enhance your reputation and make clients more willing to re-book. In addition, by being able to access the system from anywhere in the world you can keep track of bookings, contact clients and carry out all the necessary duties wherever you may be.
D: When do I need to complete all the information required for the Booking Secretary?
You can either add all the default information, Terms and Conditions, Deposits, Directions and Key Holding Instructions as soon as you wish or you can add them individually the first time they are required.
E: Does the Booking Secretary store my regular information?
The Booking Secretary stores all the information entered the first time you run through a booking as the default information. This can be edited at any point. This information will result in subsequent bookings being far quicker to manage.
