Description
Gites in the south Vendee, Pays de Loire, France.
Gite complex with large pool and tennis court, in the Vendee near Vouvant, Mervent Forest and Puy du Fou. Complex sleeps 32 people with each gite sleeping up to 9 people. All our gites in the Vendee are located in the same pretty grounds, near enough to one another to feel a part of a small community, but at the same time allowing you to enjoy your privacy. Book the whole complex for a special celebration party. Great for children (see below). For large or small parties, part or full week, we can accommodate you. Chris and Janet warmly welcome you all the year through to their 16th century farmhouse in the heart of the south of Vendee.

Children friendly with play area and farm animals to feed, large childrens play area, field for sports, swimming pool, tennis court, mini golf, table tennis, games room, billiard tables, gym room, bikes and many other activities. Multiple attractions within easy reach (Fontenay Le Comte, Vouvant, Mervent Forest, La Rochelle, Puy du Fou) and some of the best restaurants in the area can be visited throughout your stay. If you are a bird-watcher this area is fantastic for birds of prey and many others, bring your binoculars.

Le Pinson is the original Farmhouse which has 2 entrances, one directly onto the pool patio, with sun loungers and parasols, and the other entrance at the back with garden furniture.

On entering Le Pinson, there is a large lounge with open fireplace and seating to accommodate 9 people. There is also a PIANO to get the party going and entertain your friends.
Off the lounge there is a large dining room, with french table that seats 24 people, also has an open fireplace.
Full Kitchen with walk-in larder, dishwasher, washer and all utensils. Beautiful wood staircase leads to:
3 bedrooms,
1st bedroom has double bed and single bed,
2nd bedroom has double bed with en-suite,
3rd bedroom has double bed.

Single beds can be added if required to bedrooms.
These must be requested at time of booking.

The Area
Puy du Fou (35 km): Entertainment for the whole day! During the day, visit the park with its falcons, the arboretum, vestiges of the past & the village's craftsmen. At night, watch the superb sound & light show " la Cinescerie du Puy du Fou ", relating the history of the area.

La Rochelle is a "Must" on the Atlantic coast. Its 4 ports make it one of France's most important harbours for tourism and trade, with many seafood restaurants to try.

Mervent (15 km): In this vast forest, follow the meandering rivers, enjoy the water activities, the zoo and the theme park. You can also visit the Pere Monfort's grotto or alternatively explore the adventurous walkways and exciting mountain bike paths.

Vouvant only 6km away and has been voted the prettiest village in the Vendee, with many historical buildings
