Description
Villa Angora: A homely 3-bedroomed detached villa with it’s own pool, stunning views and scenery, overlooking mountains and the beautiful bay of Kalkan. A secluded cove is approx three minutes walking distance where you can swim in crystal clear waters, or laze on sun terraces. The picturesque harbour village of Kalkan is close by, where numerous restaurants and craft shops abound.

Facilities:
Bedrooms: 1 double & 2 twin (air conditioning to all rooms).
Bathrooms: 2 large en-suite shower rooms with w/c's, plus 1 downstairs w/c.
Lounge area: Air conditioning, settees & chairs for 7, plus satellite TV/ DVD/CD player.
Kitchen/Diner Wrought iron glass-top dining table for 6. All kitchen amenities, including gas oven/hob, washing machine, dish washer, and fridge/freezer.
Note: All bed linen and indoor towels provided - NOT beach/pool towels.

Exterior:
Ground floor: Sun terrace with swimming pool, plus kitchen terrace with outdoor lighting, table and chairs.
1st floor: Balconies to bedrooms 1 & 2.
Roof: Sun terrace, with access to bedroom 3.
Note: The depth of the swimming pool is 1.75 metres throughout, and is unprotected, therefore it is felt to be unsuitable for young children.


Rental: Bookings to run from Monday to Monday, owing to flight arrangements. Charter flights to Dalaman can be obtained on the internet, and Airport transfers can be pre-booked. Dalaman to Kalkan is approximately 2 hours.

The Area
Kalkan is a picturesque fishing village, nestling at the foot of the Toros Mountains, in the historic region of Lycia, and has developed a deserved reputation as one of the most desirable resorts for the discerning traveller.

Untouched by the commercialism that is Bodrum & Marmaris, Kalkan has developed it’s own unique charm, with it’s narrow cobbled streets, and Bougainvillaea-clad Ottoman buildings. By day, it is a paradise for those seeking peace and tranquility, but by night, it is transformed into a magical wonderland, with its twinkling harbour lights, fashionable boutiques, traditional craft shops, and numerous excellent restaurants, many with rooftop terraces overlooking the moonlit bay.

There is a small shingle beach in Kalkan itself, plus several areas with sun terraces. For sand, one has to go to Kaputas, about 5 minutes by car towards Kas, but beware the 180 steps to the beach, or alternatively to the 10 kilometres of beach at Patara, which is a protected area of natural beauty, and is about 15 minutes away by car.

For those with historical interests, there are numerous archaeological sites within easy reach, such as Xanthos, Patara, Fethiye, and Kas, in addition to the sunken city at Kekova.

Whatever your holiday preferences, you will be enchanted by Kalkan, and will undoubtedly plan to return sooner rather than later.
