Description
Situated on the first floor of the magnificent Clubhotel Hinterthal, this exceptionally spacious apartment occupies an internal area of 235m², plus 65 m² of external balconies. The whole apartment is furnished and equipped to the highest modern specifications with oak flooring and beautiful panelled ceilings. There are patio doors to the decked balcony from all the bedrooms and from three sides of the open-plan living room, letting in maximum light as well as making the most of the fabulous panoramic views.

In the open-plan living room, comfortable sofas and armchairs surround a lovely glass-fronted log fireplace. There is a second fireplace at the other end of this large room, making it very cosy and welcoming, especially when there is thick snow outside. In the well-equipped kitchen, contemporary grey slate floor tiles co-ordinate with granite worktops and an attractive breakfast bar separates this area from the more formal dining table and chairs. This room is designed to make the most of spectacular views of the famous Hochkönig mountain.

The beautiful master double bedroom has a king-size bed, doors to the balcony with views over the lake and an en suite bath, basin, shower and WC. The second bedroom has large twin beds which can be put together to make a very large double bed. This room also has doors to the balcony with views over the lake and an en suite bath with shower attachment, basin and WC. The third bedroom, on the other side of the hall, also has large twin beds which can be put together to make a very large double bed, doors to the balcony overlooking the village, en-suite shower, twin basins and WC. All the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with fitted wardrobes, chests of drawers and desks. The bathrooms have very stylish, top quality fittings.

This very well-appointed apartment also has a laundry room which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, a cloakroom for outdoor coats and shoes, and a separate washroom with WC and basin. The balcony has wooden decking and is furnished with plenty of chairs and benches on which to relax and enjoy the clear air and wonderful views.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Golf
Hinterthal is located in a region offering the broadest selection of golfing opportunities in the Alps. Closest to Hinterthal is the Urslautal Golf Course which is located on a high plateau between Saalfelden and Maria Alm. The 18-hole course (par 71) was created in 1993 in a landscape surrounded by fragrant meadows against the imposing backdrop of the Steinernes Meer mountains.

Cycling & Mountain Biking
Countless kilometres of cycling and mountain bike trails provide a wonderful way of exploring the glorious countryside. The town of Maria Alm is an access point along the Tauern cycle path and
also feeds into the Pinzgauer Saalachtal’s extensive network of cycle paths.

Tennis
There are tennis courts in Hinterthal, Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach, and in Dienten there are also two indoor
courts, just in case the weather does not cooperate.

Fishing
Relax amongst breathtaking scenery beside a clear mountain lake or river and relish the fresh air, peace and tranquillity. Fishing permits are available from the tourist office in Maria Alm.

Swimming
The open-air pool in Maria Alm has a 40m water slide, current canal, rain showers, bench with massage jets,
children’s pool, play stream and a children’s playground.

Summer Alpine Slide
Great fun for everyone aged 6 to 99! From a height of 1600 metres, you’ll zoom through the beautiful landscapes of the Biberg in Saalfelden: 63 exciting curves and tunnels … boundless sliding fun for the whole family!

Walking & Hiking
250 km of well-marked hiking paths reflect all degrees of difficulty, from family strolls along leisurely paths to the most ambitious of hiking challenges. If you are looking for an effortless way to reach
the meadows filled with fragrant alpine flowers, then simply soar
to the top in one of the four lifts from Maria Alm, Dienten
or Mühlbach.

Riding
To the left a meadow in bloom, to the right the deep green of a forest and everywhere the sound of crickets chirping; this is what riding is all about in the fairytale landscapes of the Hochkönig’s mountain kingdom.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

Ski Season
The ski season in this region is from Christmas to Easter, although the local residents ski in November and glacier
skiing is possible until June at Kaprun (45 minutes from Hinterthal).

Skiing & Snowboarding
The three centres of Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach are known as Hochkönig’s Winter Kingdom and whether
you prefer skiing, hitting the half pipe on your snowboard or getting away from everyone else out on a ski tour – it’s
all possible.

Ski Passes
Ski passes can be purchased in Hinterthal
and a single pass is valid at 29 resorts.

Ski Hire
Skis can be hired from the ski shop in Hinterthal.

Ski Lessons
Adult lessons take place in Hinterthal from 10-13.00 and children’s lessons from
10.00 - 12.00 and 13.30-15.30.

Skiing in Hinterthal
There are two blue runs, one red run and one black run in the village of Hinterthal.

Cross-Country Skiing
Hochkönig’s Winter Kingdom offers some 40 km of cross-country trails, perfect for beginners and professionals alike.

The biggest trail network is in Maria Alm – 30km in length and featuring all levels of difficulty.

Winter Hiking
Hochkönig’s Winter Kingdom doesn’t only offer boundless ski fun for all, there are also 85 km of cleared and superbly
maintained winter hiking paths which are perfect for glorious scenic winter hikes amidst pristine deep snow.

Ski Tours
In the winter world of Hochkönig guided ski tours are available for the growing number of free skiers and off-piste skiers.
Many of the runs are already famous in other countries.

Tobogganing
The Jufenalm can be reached via cleared hiking paths and if you don’t want to walk back, you can hire a toboggan and
zip down the mountain on the 2.5 km long floodlit natural run into the village, or try out the 2 km long family toboggan run,
also in Maria Alm.

The Area

Skiing
In the heart of one of Austria's largest and highest ski networks, Hintherthal is truly a winter sports dream. Skis can be hired in the village ski shop and here too you can book skiing lessons - adult lessons in the morning and children's lessons in the morning and afternoon. Skiers have two blue, one red and one black slope within walking distance and passes can be obtained in the village for these and other slopes further afield.
